Setapp, as a subscription-based service, promises a constant revenue flow, where the size of your earnings depends on monthly usage statistics of your apps and, therefore, is floating. At the same time, Setapp’s Partner Program offers an additional, more stable way of earning that disregards the usage factor.
The Partner Program guarantees a fixed 20% share in monthly income from every user you have engaged in Setapp. In other words, while you stay with us and the users you’ve brought to Setapp keep paying a subscription fee, you get 20% of it — despite the statistics of your own apps.

Setapp banners and badges
You can inform your existing and future users that your app is on Setapp by placing our promo banner or badge on a product, blog, or landing page. Clicking the banner or badge redirects users to your app’s page on Setapp’s website, where the existing subscribers may open the app in Setapp with a single click, and the new users can easily sign up. In the latter case, you get both a user of your app and a 20% share in a monthly income from this user.

Invitations
If you prefer to use social media or emails to stay in touch with users, copy your unique partner link from the Partner Program page and share it the way you prefer. For example, you can:
- Email it to your users;
- Put it into a blog post;
- Share it on social media.
Users who subscribe to Setapp via the link get assigned to your Setapp account. For more information, see “Inviting users”.
Effects of partner campaigns
You can use these tools to engage more users and increase revenue. Your invitation campaigns and promos progress is shown on your developer account's Statistics page.
NOTE
New customers aren't charged a subscription fee during a 7-day trial period. It means that you will start getting your 20% shares only after their trial period is over.
With the Partner Program, you can increase your income within Setapp by 90%. Plus, it is an excellent opportunity for growing LTV of your existing users — think, when a user who has purchased your app earlier switches to its Setapp version, you re-monetize the app.
If you have any concerns regarding those users who have already purchased your app — no worries; Setapp still has something to offer. Withdrawn promo instruments
In the past, Setapp used to offer these instruments to engage users.
- In-app cross-promotion using the Setapp Promo Framework. The idea was to promote the Setapp version of an app via its other versions (a website version, for example) using the special framework. The cross-promotion showed excellent results back in the day, but now we’re rethinking the concept to bring new life into it.
However, if you use the Setapp badge or the Promo Framework, they stay fully functional until you switch them off.
