Configure single app flow

Setapp commits a single app distribution using Stripe, a reliable and flexible payment provider. Since the Setapp subscription is processed by Paddle and Braintree, you'll need to register Stripe account to proceed. We suggest completing this step in advance, as collecting documents and getting approval may take some time.

Step 1. Register Stripe account

We tried to make this step easy and seamless for you, so we’ve integrated it directly into your developer account.

1. Go to your developer account and click "Single app" on the top menu.

   

2. Choose your type of business:

   

3. If you choose Company, you'll be asked to specify the company structure. Please note: this step will appear in your local language, as it’s part of Stripe’s interface.

   

4. The further steps depend on your country and type of business. In general, you’ll need to provide your personal details, business information, and bank account data. Stripe will perform a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, which may require you to upload a government-issued ID or documents confirming your business details.
   Note: In some cases, Stripe informs Setapp, not you, that some documents are missing. If so, we'll contact you requesting additional documents to compelete the registration.

Step 2. Define your single app distribution plans (coming soon)

When your Stripe account is regestered and new Terms of use signed, you can provide your individual offer to Setapp users. Together with Stripe, we provide maximum flexibily to your business models. You can configure:

• whether it's an individual subscription or one-time purchase
• billing period
• number of devices
• price tier
