Setapp developer account

Account overview

Your online account, available at developer.setapp.com, is your home site for all Setapp-related things. We tried to pack it with everything needed so that you could easily and comfortably submit and manage your apps and track every moment of their success in Setapp.

How to start your account?

When you begin working with Setapp, our support team gives you a hearty welcome and sends a one-time link to access your account for the first time. Use the link to set the password; your login (and the primary account identifier) is the email you use when communicating with us.

Account pages

We tried to make your developer account an intuitive and easy-to-work place. Every page has explanations, usage hints, and links to the documentation (where we think it’s necessary). Here’s a quick recap of the account pages and what you can do on them.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security that we add to your account to ensure you're the only person to access it. With 2FA turned on, you must enter a verification code from the authenticator app when you sign in.

To simplify authentication, you can trust your browser and enter the password and the 2FA code less frequently. To do so, select the “Remember me” checkbox when you sign in.

Authenticator apps. You can choose any app that supports the Time-Based, One-Time Password (TOTP) protocol. Below are some popular apps (in alphabetic order) with links to get them:

Turn on and set up 2FA:

  1. Install an authenticator app on your mobile device.
  2. Go to the Account > Account settings of your developer account, then click Turn On under "Two-factor authentication."
  3. Scan the appearing QR code with your authenticator app, then enter the verification code from the app in the authentication dialog on your computer and click Continue.

To recover or reset 2FA on your account, contact our support team.

Turn off 2FA:

  1. Go to the Account settings and click Turn Off under "Two-factor authentication."
  2. Enter the verification code from your authenticator app and click Continue.
