Joining Setapp
Setapp is an open market for all users, but not all developers.
Steps to join Setapp
-
We either invite you as one of the world's well-known and honorable developers, or if you are confident in the exceptional quality and value of your product, you let us know. Please make sure you are committed to the highest standard before you apply.
-
After we approve you as a Partner, you prepare your applications (for macOS, iOS, or web) and submit them for review by our technical team. If the apps fit Setapp’s review guidelines, we'll approve and add them to Setapp, so that they become instantly available to all Setapp users.
-
When your product is live on Setapp, you get paid monthly, based on the number of active users of your app. And you also get 20% from every user that signs up via your Partner link. Just take your time further perfecting the product while Setapp is in charge of maximizing your user LTV.
The idea of a closed club for top developers
Nowadays, many applications on an app store of any kind are no longer a benefit for a user. And there are some strong points to prove this fact. After analyzing a lot of data, it turned out that an average user opens less than 10 separate applications on their Macs per month.
This means that the more apps there are to choose from, the more painful the process gets. And it gets worse when you have to decide on buying each of the "dark horses." Setapp resolves these issues by providing an entirely opposite experience.
With Setapp, your product becomes as close to all potential users as it gets. There are no poor or average-quality products around, only true gems, each serving its purpose and providing real value.
We keep a healthy balance between the number of users and only top developers on the service to make sure the users have all the best apps they need, and the developers have a big growing market.
Bring more of your users to Setapp and make a fortune
If you become a software developer on Setapp, you instantly increase your user LTV by getting a 20% fee from all the users you bring in. And that's before they even use your apps.
